I would apologize for doing this at midnight but actually I think we are now all officially on enough different time zones to justify any posting hour.

EYAI DRABBLES GO

All settings or none! All characters or none! Prompt, fic, discuss, do interpretive dance!!

(And for those who selected "what in the name of God": here's a writeup I did on Tumblr for [personal profile] pseudo_tsuga of what exactly I'm talking about.)

This is SO OFF TOPIC but I have been poking my way through eyaiverse in my spare time, I swear! Not having my own computer set up yet + EAR TETANUS are hampering me, but it's not every day you have an LJ/DW friend who has a nifty transhuman sci-fi verse with a robot revolution and philosophical questions on the definitions of humanity, so I am intrigued to check it out, once I am finished with my application for the National Society for EAR TETANUS AWARENESS.

It's offtopic only in the sense that it is both ONTOPIC and that it DELIGHTS ME. Wait wait ear tetanus?? As in ... tetanus ... in your ear?? Oh wait I've just seen your post okay that's -- that's -- that's a thing that can happen. To your piercings. I hope it's not tetanoidal. Anyway, yes, I'm really glad you're looking through it, I feel it will appeal to you! (Or ... hope. I don't really have a good track record with convincing other people it's as cool as it is in my head. Once I printed out fortuna fugit to show to my mom and she got halfway through and she said "Emma, is this story ... science fiction?" and that was it for that adventure.)

It is an entirely nifty scifi verse though. With so much of a revolution. And probably too many philosophical questions on the definition of humanity, though Nacio would object to your use of the word humanity because honestly how anthropocentric can you get, personhood will do perfectly well in the speeches!

Oh god I'm so tired.

Dude, I know what you mean about proselytizing things that you swear are cool but are hard to convert other people to without lots of context and history. If it's any help, I tend to find that a. wiki-type (or other-type) databases of clearly labeled character and world info, b. introducing people to characters before worlds, and c. giving people funny/wisecracky stories to start on before the heavier-duty stuff helps.

Of course, none of this is a gospel truth -- I think more people read my like 30K horrorventure story about Jasper + Susanna vs. a haunted house than anything else??? -- but I think it helps. And I'm not sure why I'm trying to help anyway, this is like taking the advice of Rorschach on the street with his doom sign.

Anyway, yes, I am going to sort out and read/comment on eyai as soon as I can. It helped once I figured out that eyai = AI. It literally took me a bunch of times. I'm not kidding. For a while it looked like Hawkeye had hooked up with some person named "Ey."
